Internationally renowned realist figurative painter D.J. Hall has chosen Ernie Marjoram's oil painting Karin to be included in the California Open Exhibition at TAG - The Artist's Gallery in Santa Monica. Ernie's painting Ponte Vecchio was included in the California Art Club’s 97^th Annual Gold Medal Juried Exhibition held at the Pasadena Museum of California Art (PMCA). The esteemed jury included curators from the San Diego Museum of Art, the Norton Simon Museum of Art, The Getty Center and the Weisman Museum of Art, Pepperdine University. The exhibition was accompanied by an impressive full color catalogue avaiaable at the gala preview reception held April 27^th, 6 – 9pm at PMCA.  

In other news, Ernie's oil painting Shelter from the Rain was awarded first place from over 120 artworks in Ironstone Vineyard’s 11^th annual Spring Obsession Art Competition and Sale. The award was announced by artist/juror Kathleen Dunphy at the March 1st, 2008 Artist’s Reception.
